Hola Mexico!
Hola Mexico!
We've been here in Mexico for three days now and, so far, we are still enjoying our exploration of the country's best destinations, hotels and restaurants. We chose to visit Mexico because, from what we saw on television, it seemed a really nice place with lots of beautiful and friendly people. Well, Mexico is indeed a perfect place to visit. The wonderful scenery combined with superb Mexican dishes and fun activities for tourists make a person's stay in the country a truly delightful experience. For those who are not very familiar with Mexico, here is a brief description of the country.
Mexico is located in North America, bordered by the United States on the north and by Guatemala and Belize on the south. With a land area of 1,972,550 square kilometers, Mexico is considered as the world's fourteenth largest country by total area. As of 2006, the country has an estimated population of 107,449,525. The majority of the population speaks Spanish.
Mexico is an upper middle-income country with a free market mixed economy. It has a well-developed energy, transportation and communications infrastructure, as well as a booming tourist industry. Fort San Diego, Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo House Studio Museum, Leon Trosky House Museum, Chapultepec Park, Fine Arts Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral are just a few of the country's tourist attractions.
Mexico has 32 states and is divided into six tourist regions: Northern Mexico, Central Mexico, Southern Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, the Pacific Coast and the Baja California Peninsula. The regions are diverse and offer a multitude of activities for tourists. The region of Southern Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico, for example, is ideal for ecotourism outings and outdoor adventures since it has an abundance of marshes, mangrove swamps and forests.
